So this afternoon when I got back from Anime Expo, my girlfriend wanted some milk so we visited the corner liquer store again. This time with the milk, I picked up a six-pack of Rogue’s American Amber Ale. Seeing that this was the 4th of July and all, I felt this was something novel to try. So what did I think about this one? I liked it. It had a nice and full flavor. A little bitter at the end but that was ok. It did have a nice aroma to it though. The ale had a nice deep redish color to it and not too bubbly. Once I finish this six pack, I’ll make a final decision on whether this is something I’d buy again.

July 4, 2008Rogue’s Morimoto Soba Ale
July 4, 2008So I bought a bottle of this at the corner liquer store this morning and was kinda suprised that they carried stuff from Rogue. This was the first time I heard of soba being used to make a beer. I love eating cold soba so I thought I’d give it a shot. I shared the bottle with a friend. I was ok with it. My friend Jason said that he could taste a hint of soba with it, I really didn’t taste it myself. It has a light flavor and a light color to it. I thought the flavor was kind of dull. It wasn’t bad but its not something I’d buy again. Oh wells, on with the search.
My beer blog…
July 4, 2008So I’m trying to find a favorite beer. Currently its New Beligium’s Fat Tire. I love this beer on tap but love it less from the bottle. Sometimes its good, other times it not. With that, I’ve started searching for a new beer that i can enjoy whenever I can. If anyone reads this, or happens upon here, drop me a suggestion to try. I only hope i don’t gain to large a belly from this new adventure.
